About the PTT
paper kit
1) Use your favorite paint or draw program,
your clip art collection, and your imagination to design your
tattoo art.
2) Print A MIRROR IMAGE on to the PTT paper
using your Alps printer.
For Alps MD4000: select specially coated
paper and multi pass. Other media selections may work as
well
If there is no text in the tattoo, you don’t
have to print a mirror image. The tattoo will then be a mirror
image of the original image. You can easily fit 20 to 30 tattoos
per page more or less depending on the size of each tattoo.
Test print on regular paper, and then print out on the entire
PTT page.
3) Cover each tattoo with the liquid tattoo
tack using the foam pads. Try to work fast and deliver just
a thin film. If you coat the tattoo too heavily, the
tack may not set up satisfactory. Let the tack coat extend
only slightly over the edges of each tattoo. Now let
the TACK set up for at least 12 hours. If the
tack is too thick, it may be impossible to get good results.
Thin the tack using turpentine so the tack will flow on smoothly.
4) After the tack is dry (but still tacky
of course) it is time to cut out the tattoos and the non stick
paper to the same size. In other words, each piece of paper
containing one tattoo on a square piece of paper will need
same size piece of the non tack paper.
5) Now staple the wax paper to the tattoo
paper and you are done. Before use, the wax paper must be
removed. If the wax is sticking to the tattoo, peel it away
from the tattoo slowly or it may tear. The purpose of the
wax paper is to protect the tattoo from dirt, grease, and
lint.
Tattoos made
in this way are waterproof and will last for several days.
Note: Do not attempt to
copy or print on sheets of PTT paper on which you have already
cut holes or pieces off. This can cause paper jams and possible
damage to your equipment. For best paper economy, arrange
images that fit on the whole sheet, then print on regular
paper to test the layout, and print on the whole surface of
the PTT paper the first time.
Disclaimer:
As a precaution, do not use the transfer
adhesive sheets
or tattoos made in this way if you are pregnant or nursing
a baby because of possible migration of chemicals from the
copier or printer ink into the body. Before making tattoos
in large quantities or for resale, become familiar with the
chemical composition of the copier or printer ink you intend
to use. Some individuals can develop allergic skin reactions
even when using medical grade glue. You must assume all responsibility
for the use of this paper. If you do not accept full responsibility
for the use of this product, return the unopened package to
